@ameliabrodka and @lesli_cohen created Exposure Skate in response to the male-dominated environment of skateboarding. Since 2012, Exposure Skate has cultivated safe and supportive environments for women, trans and nonbinary individuals to progress in skateboarding and connect with like-minded people from any walk of life. Exposure’s programs include scholarship funding, free learn-to-skate clinics for women and girls, wellness retreats, an annual event benefitting femme and nonbinary individuals in skateboarding and so on.
