For this month’s theme, “Protect Our Planet”, Skate Rising partnered with Changing Tides Foundation in honor of Earth Day. We focused on establishing awareness that our actions, such as the use of single-use plastic, have on our overall environmental impact.
Activity: We will be incorporating a creative activity around how to bring mindfulness and accountability of our waste output in everyday life. We encourage each of the girls to bring their own reusable jar in order to decorate and invite all participants to take part in the #PlasticSwearJarChallenge as we pledge to reduce our use of single-use plastics.
May Theme
