AN URGENT NEED: Help our Community of Women

Established in 1979, CRC has grown from providing basic needs for families in crisis, to offering extensive programs that facilitate the safety, stability, and self-sufficiency of low-income and episodically homeless households – including domestic violence (DV) victims.

The mission of the Community Resource Center (CRC) is aligned with Exposure’s main objective to bring opportunity and visibility to women who embody courage and strength. The CRC’s Emergency Women’s Shelter, Carol’s House, has been the recipient of our proceeds for the majority of our Exposure Benefit Events. Our Adult Clinics support their efforts by collecting food donations, while Skate Rising events have collected blankets, empowerment journals, and many other supplies for these women and families in need.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center reports that April 2020 marks the official 19th anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

As we spend this time of uncertainty isolated in our own homes– our safe houses– we know that there are women that are in danger of Domestic Violence while trying to do the same. The CRC reports that Carol’s House is receiving 37% more Domestic Violence related calls during this time. We must act.

While we are unable to hold events that would allow us to collect donations and monetary support, we want to ensure that we continue our philanthropic goals of raising awareness of and financially supporting the CRC and Carol’s House. We know that these are trying times for many of us, but we intend to help in any way that we can. Please consider donating to help strengthen women in our community.
