USE OF OPENING & CLOSING TITLE CARDS:
Video submissions must include the correct Official Event Sponsor Logo Opening and Closing Title Credits. These title card graphics include logos particular to each event, and must be used accordingly. Incorrect submissions will be returned for editing. We will not edit the submissions for you. All official Opening and Closing Title Cards will be made available for download on this website as soon as possible.

All clips and footage must be
- Previously unreleased (including all social media platforms or any other video sharing service)
- Fillmed horizontally (landscape mode)
- At LEAST 720 x 480p in size. We encourage 1080p, 4K and above. Higher quality video ensures that your tricks are seen.
SUBMISSION:
Videos must be submitted by October 8, 2021, following all submission portal instructions on this site. We require a $35 entry fee in effort to discourage false entries ($40 for Crew entries), to encourage your best work, and to support our overall mission of benefitting survivors of domestic violence. Except in extreme circumstances, we do NOT feel that this entry fee is difficult for most of our riders. Thank you for understanding. Please see the submission portal entry ticket for more information.
JUDGES:
Videos will be judged by a panel of 5 judges, with highest and lowest scores dropped.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
Trick Difficulty , Terrain Difficulty, Terrain Variety, Style, Creativity, Originality and Video Composition.
Use of helmets/pads will NOT negatively affect your score.
REVEAL:
Winning videos will be screened at our Exposure X Premiere Party on November 6, 2021 at La Paloma Theater in Encinitas California. Immediately following the screening, winners from each event will be announced and posted by our Event Media Partner on the official Thrasher Magazine website. Thrasher Magazine owns exclusive rights to the initial announcement of winners. Do NOT post spoilers.
All other videos will begin to drop on Exposure Social Media Channels in mid November.
Do NOT post Event videos/clips to social media or any other video sharing service until they have been officially released by our Media Partner, Thrasher.com following the conclusion of the competition. Doing so will disqualify your entry. You MAY post outtakes that do not appear in your video submission.

FAQs
How long should my submission be?
First and foremost, longer does not mean better! We want to see your best tricks on the most challenging terrain that you can do them on, and edited in a way that best showcases your skating. With that said, if you are entering the “Best Video Part” we are looking for a 1-2 min edit, “Best Crew” can be up to 3 minutes, and “Best Trick” should just be 1-2 clips of that trick (you may include different angles). Remember– putting in tricks just to fill time can actually take away from the impact of your video, so edit wisely!
Am I eligible to participate?
If you are female, female-identifying, or non-binary, YES, you are eligible! Please note that your entry must follow division categories and age group requirements. International submissions are welcome and encouraged. We’d love to meet you.
How do I submit my video?
Submission materials and processes will be available on this website as soon as possible. Please follow the submission process outlined at that time.
Can I film my street part in a skatepark?
The short answer is, YES, you can film your street part at a skatepark. The longer answer is this: We know that some areas of the world are less friendly to skaters than others and/or remain on Covid lock-down. You will not LOSE points for skatepark footage, but you might get MORE points for parts filmed in part on the street. Why? Because we know that the judges (and our audience) want to see you shred the streets in a Video Part.
Does the 2 or 3 minute maximum time include the sponsor logos at the beginning and end?
More questions will be answered as they come. Please message us on Instagram or email contest@exposureskate.org if your question has not been answered. We will answer as quickly as we can. Thank you!
